Massage Yoga Experience

Massage and yoga can both greatly increase the quality of your life. Yoga and massage together? Can you hear your body saying “aaaaaaahhh” right now?!  Yoga and massage have many of the same benefits. They both enhance blood flow to tight areas that don’t receive as much nutrient rich blood as they should, promote mobility in joints and connective tissues, and encourage relaxation and a sense of peace and relief from stress.

When yoga is performed in combination with a massage, the results are more powerful than either one on it’s own. Practicing yoga postures while receiving massage is a wonderful way to enhance your relaxation and receive potent benefits.

How does it work? You’ll be taken though basic postures to warm up your body with lots of relaxation in between, then we’ll target specific areas you’d like to focus on, with massage while you’re stretching! Once you’re in a pose, the muscle groups are exposed, your blood is flowing and you’re ready to receive deeper healing by getting muscles worked on to enhance your stretch. Massage is also performed in many relaxation poses.

I am happy to share the benefits that yoga can have in your body and in your life.  I can provide specific stretches for the problem areas that I find during your session, or provide you with a routine to enhance overall flexibility and wellness in your body. Yoga in combination with synchronized breathing is a very peaceful, body/mind connective practice that you can take with you anywhere.
